At the crossroads of the humanity and its existence on Earth, we are realizing that endless construction and consumption is not the way forward. Even though it may seem counter-intuitive for an architecture and engineering professional to argue against building new, exactly this paradox is what drives my curiosity and fuels my passion towards creating a sustainable solutions for the future of the built environment.

About me

I am an architectural and civil engineer, with varied international experience in academia and practice. My professional journey started in 2011 after I got into a high school programme for architectural technician. After that, I continued building my knowledge at UNIOS, Croatia and DTU, Denmark – acquiring M.Eng. in Construction Management and Technology, and M.Sc. in Architectural Engineering degrees, respectively.

Through my work, I had the opportunity to work with colleagues and clients from many different countries – Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, USA, and many others. My experience and interests cover the topics of sustainability, circular economy, existing buildings reuse and transformation, systems thinking, building information modelling, computational and collaborative design, just to name a few. 

Currently, I am working as an architectural and sustainability engineer in Copenhagen, working on many interesting, local and global projects. On the side, I sometimes do furniture design.

Avoiding virgin materials extraction through selective deconstruction and reuse, in combination with bio-based materials.

Design approaches and strategies such as adaptive reuse and transformations allow for extending the lifespan of the buildings that were considered inadequate.

systems

Analysis and complete rethinking of current engineering systems and business models in architecture and construction through systems thinking and holistic perspective.
